Welcome to TRAMAN21

TRAMAN21 (2013-2018) is an ERC (European Research Council) Advanced Investigator Grant. TRAMAN21 is the first such Grant to be hosted by the Technical University of Crete; and one of the two such Grants that were awarded to Greek Host Institutions in 2013, remarkably both of them located in Crete, Greece.

The main objective of TRAMAN21 (Traffic Management for the 21st Century) is the development of fundamental concepts and tools that will pave the way towards a new era of future motorway traffic management research and practice, which is indispensable in order to accompany, complement and exploit the evolving deployment of VACS (Vehicle Automation and Communication Systems).

The TRAMAN21 logo was designed by Elena Chasalevri.
Elena was born in Athens, Greece in 1974. She holds a Diploma from the Painting Department of the Athens School of Fine Arts (2012), where she studied painting with Professor Yiannis Psychopedis, and stage design with Professor Giorgos Ziakas. She holds also a B.Sc. degree in Graphic Design from the Department of Graphic Design, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Technological Institute of Athens (1997).
